Texas Ham and Cheese Sliders

Every so often I have the chance to take dinner to a neighbor or friend who is sick, having a bad day, or just needs a little extra help. This is one of my favorite dinners to share with others. It is super easy to double and I have never met anyone who didn’t like these sandwiches. They are a huge hit with kids too!

These sandwiches are really easy to make. First cut your rolls in half all at the same time, and place them in the bottom of your pan.

Add the ham and cheese on top, and replace the top half of the rolls.

Melt a stick of butter and mix in the remaining sauce ingredients until the mustard is separated.Pour the sauce on top of the rolls. I know that seems weird but the sauce really does go on top of the sandwiches.

Throw them in the oven to bake, covered with foil. When everything is all melted and delicious, uncover them and bake them for a few more minutes until they are brown and crisp.

  1. These are so delicious! I’d never heard of “Texas” being in the title, but I love it! (Being a native Texan!). When I make these I always use a bit of condiment on the bottom half of the rolls – a thin smear of mayo, or cream cheese. Delicious! Definitely going to make them with the shredded cheddar next time! Thanks for posting!
