Often, when we talk Back to School, we think of the grade school ages. But we have teenagers and those heading off to college that we need to help prepare for back to school. Since our older children have different needs, this guide is meant for them – products to help you, and your children, prepare for the start of school this year!
Back to School: High School & College Guide
Laundry is on the never ending to-do list. While it may not be one of our favorite chores, we can simplify this task and eliminate the mess! Pick up a pack of Wisk PowerBlasts (1) that come in a pre-measured single dose pac that can be tossed in the wash and ready to go. If your kids are heading off to the dorms or apartments with a community laundromat, they will thank you when they don’t have to lug along a big jug of laundry detergent as well as their load of laundry.
Add a splash of color to their style with one of the fun new products from Wet ‘n Wild (2)! Choose a megalast nail color in bright fun colors like “Through the Grapevine” or “Tropicalia” to match their favorite brights in their closet. A little of the Wet ‘n Wild Juicy lip balm will add a touch of color and protection with SPF 15 and fun fruity flavors like strawberry or raspberry!
The busy student will need a way to keep everything organized and what better way to do that then with a smart mobile assistant app like EasilyDo (3). EasilyDo has thought of everything including maps and distance tracker to help you get to your meetings on time, one tap to join in on conference calls, birthday calendar, managing tickets and boarding passes, even making your contact book streamlined and easy to manage. EasilyDo can be picked up in the iTunes and Google Play marketplaces and used on your smartphone and devices.
Back to school supplies have gone hip with funky and smart new additions! Pick up a Crayola Wild Notes (4) notebook that has black pages that make note taking fun with colors that pop off the page with the included pen. Then, be sure to keep their pencils always sharp with a Crayola Twistables colored pencils kit. These twist on the classics will become the new favorites!
Keep your young adult in shape, even with their busy schedule, with a home exercise program they can do whenever they can squeeze it in. Try 10 Minute Solution: High Intensity Interval Training (5) will give them a solution even if they can only squeeze in 10 minutes a day! Try one of the five programs or they can mix and match for a longer program when they have the time. If walks across campus are already built-in, a Walk It Off in 30 Days challenge can be just what they need. Alternate their on-campus workouts with at home strength training for a complete workout made easy!
Students can give their teachers a really beautiful thank you gift after a hard semester with a box of Merci Chocolates (6). These yummy treats come as a box of 20 individually wrapped chocolates that make it easy to indulge without going overboard. Each box includes a variety of seven different flavors to choose from including favorites like milk chocolate and something more unique like hazelnut.
When they need a grab and go snack, teens and young adults will love the Gold Emblem line of snacks at CVS (7). They have a variety of goodies from sweet, salty, candies and even some groceries including. This store brand line will help them to save money while still getting high quality snacks to help them whether they are staying up late to study for an exam or rolling out of bed first thing in the morning with no time for breakfast on the way to class. The Gold Emblem line is available at local CVS Pharmacy stores.
A catchy shirt can help them get noticed and be a great conversation starter. Redbubble (8) offers creative and unique shirts available in a marketplace style shopping experience. A variety of designers and independent artists design catchy shirts like this funny bunny creating his own shadow puppet. There are t’s, hoodies, wall art and more available to deck out their closet or their room.
A long day of classes means they will need a good water bottle by their side. Plain water can sometime be lack luster, though. Try out a Zing Anything Aqua Zinger (9) water bottle that lets you combine your water with whatever your favorite fruit might be. The easy system lets you pop in a few of your favorite fruits or veggies into the bottom lid. Then, it’s as simple as screwing the lid back on and shaking your water bottle. Shaking throughout the day will add more of the fruity flavoring to your water.
Help him looking clean and ready for class with a Philips Norelco (10) Click & Style razor! This unique new razor is the first of its kind with three separate attachments – shaver, beard trimmer, and body groomer! Just click on the right attachment for the job and then this rechargeable cordless shaver is ready to go! The Click & Style can be used wet or dry, so he can save time by shaving in the shower or on the way to class.
When they’re in a cooking rut, a case of PB Crave’s (11) unique and flavorful all natural Peanut Butter’s can help give them a simple meal they can eat on their way to class. These fun Peanut Butters are blended with honey and a different flavor theme for each variety, like CoCo Banana flavor that blends in bananas and chocolate!
