National Eye Exam Month

August is National Eye Exam Month and with back to school season here, it’s the perfect time to be updating our eye prescriptions and scheduling an eye exam for children that we believe may need a vision check. Eye Exam month was founded back in 1989 to help build awareness about the importance of keeping our eyes healthy and to remind us to schedule our annual eye exams. Being able to clearly see the classroom instructions will be essential to their success this school year. In fact, “80% of what children learn comes through their vision and undetected vision problems can lead to learning difficulties.”
