I received a complimentary meal at Fleming’s Steakhouse in order to form an opinion for this review. All opinions are my own.
My husband and I have a tradition of going out to a nice dinner to celebrate for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. This year, I turned 30! It’s crazy to think, but I’m no longer in my youthful 20’s, I’m on to the next stage of my life. It was the perfect excuse to get out and celebrate together and try out Fleming’s Steakhouse, a restaurant we have been wanting to try.
Pictured above: Tenderloin Carpaccio Appetizer, Chocolate Lava Cake (served last, of course), and sides of Fleming’s Potatoes and Sauteed French Green Beans.
We started with a delicious appetizer of Tenderloin Carpaccio which was unlike anything I’ve ever tried before! It was really good! It was basically a make your own bruschetta. You could pile on a raw very thinly sliced tenderloin and the other toppings which all tasted amazing together. The bread wasn’t so hard and crunchy like a typical bruschetta, so it tasted great! We then both enjoyed a delicious Caesar salad.
Our sides arrived family style where you can split and share a few different sides. Both the green beans and Fleming’s potatoes were really good. I couldn’t get enough of the potatoes, they were the best potatoes I have ever had in my life! Next time I go back, that will be the first thing I order!
My husband ordered their Main Filet Mignon cut served with King Crab and I selected their Petite Filet Mignon paired with Diablo Shrimp. These are the two newest companion dishes at Fleming’s. The steak was absolutely amazing cooked to perfection and so flavorful and tasty! I’m not a fan of seafood but my husband loved both the companion dishes and thought they were great! The shrimp side was his favorite of the two. He was impressed with how large the shrimp were and how extremely good they were.
We finished off our meal with a hot Chocolate Lava cake! It was the first time I have ever tried a lava cake and was really interested in trying it after watching Master Chef and their talk of love for a Lava cake. It didn’t disappoint and the homemade whip cream was amazing!!
Fleming’s gives you a very private romantic setting with dim lighting and a feeling of privacy from the other tables. The waiters do a fantastic job of keeping your drinks filled and the dishes coming perfectly timed without being disruptive to your conversation. We had such a fantastic time and loved everything we ate that it made my birthday dinner even that much more special. I absolutely recommend Fleming’s if you love fine dining or have a reason to celebrate. Their menu prices reflect the nice atmosphere and top quality menu, so be prepared for that.
Come give Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar a try! They have several locations around the Phoenix valley including the location we visited at 6333 North Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85250. You will want a reservation as their seats fill up quickly.
