I’ve always felt like sometimes entering contests can be a bit confusing and involve a lot of double checking to make sure all your entries are right and you’ve got everything requested! This page is here to give you the lowdown on all you need to know to enter my Giveaways hosted here at A Mom’s Take. You can also find the rules of my contest and my standard disclosure as well.
{How To Enter}
To enter a giveaway simply leave comments on the specific giveaway post that correspond with the entry you are entering for. You will need to first enter by following what is asked by the mandatory entry. Then, you can enter for any (or all) additional entries that you qualify for or would like to complete. You will need to leave one separate comment for each entry. Each entry will need it’s own comment as each comment is essentially one “entry” into the draw. If an entry indicates it is worth more than one entry (+2 for example) then you will need to leave that many comments for completing that entry to actually get that many entries. Be sure to include your email in the commenter information or in the comment itself so I can contact you if you are the winner!
- Mandatory Entry - The Mandatory Entry is required before any other entries will count and will be unique to each giveaway. It’s your chance to learn about the sponsor and the item being featured. It’s also a great way for the sponsor to get some feedback or insight on their products, website, blog, whatever it might be. It typically will involve taking a look at the sponsors site or shop and picking out another item you like, which item you’d pick if you are the winner, or maybe something new you learned. The sponsor can also request a question be answered such as “What new products would you like to see?” or “How can I improve my listings?” This entry is not intended to be hard and usually a breeze and lots of fun to get to do some “Virtual Window Shopping”!
- Sponsor Bonus Entry - The first extra entries offer a chance to support the sponsor! This will always change as they are unique to the sponsor and the sites and networks they belong to. They often will include some of the following options:
- Fan Sponsor on Facebook
- Follow Sponsor on Twitter
- Visit or Follow Sponsor’s Blog
- Sign up for Sponsor’s Newsletter
- Favorite Sponsor on Etsy
- Visit the site and answer another simple question
- Standard Bonus Entries - Following the sponsor bonus entries you will then see my standard entries. Once you have done one of these entries once such as “liking” me on Facebook you don’t have to do anything except comment that you have done the entry as long as your status hasn’t changed. In order for these entries to count I must be able to verify the source of the entry. For example if you stated you follow me on twitter but your name is unrecognizable you’ll want to include it along with your entry. Tweeting about the giveaway is a one time/per giveaway bonus unless *specifically* mentioned otherwise.

So there you have it! Those are the entries you can receive from my giveaways! Typically you will be able to earn 6 entries per giveaway, though it may vary on occasion. Contests will typically run for 15-21 days, and typically ending on a Friday at 9PM EDT.

-Contact- Entrants will provide a way to be contacted either in the commenter information, in the comment itself, or they will check back for to see if they have won. If no contact information is provided then A Mom’s Take will not be responsible for contacting the winner. A winner will be announced on the winners page and the winner will have 48 hours to contact me to claim their prize. You can email me at (amomstake@gmail.com). Those who have an email provided will be contacted by email and will also have 48 hours to respond to my email to claim the prize. I am not responsible for your email being lost or sent to spam filters so you may also want to check the winners page.
-Winners- All valid entries will hold an equal chance of winning the giveaway. You may win as many giveaways as you enter as long as you comply with all rules. A winner will be selected following the ending of a giveaway for those entries within the stated giveaway start and end date and time. Winners are selected using “And the Winner Is” wordpress Plugin. When an entry has been picked the entry will be verified that it complies with the reasoning for entry as well as first complied with the mandatory entry. For example, if the winning entry stated: “Facebook Like”, I will then verify that the entrant did in fact like me on Facebook as well as completed the mandatory entry first. If I am unable to verify the entry then it will become invalid and another random winner will be selected until we find a qualified winner.
-Prize- A Mom’s Take is not responsible for the shipment of prizes unless otherwise stated specifically in the giveaway. The sponsor will be contacted on your behalf with your contact information as provided in response to the winning email. Do not harass the sponsor or complain about the prize received. These prizes were very generously donated and were reviewed to my honest opinions, your experience with the product may vary. Please allow 4-6 weeks for shipment and receipt of your prize before contacting me or the sponsor. I am not responsible for prizes lost in the mail or the rare occasion when a sponsor does not honor their offering of a prize. I will do my best to contact them on the winner’s behalf but can not guarantee receipt of a prize.
