Crock Pot Shredded Beef Tacos Recipe

While I grew up eating what I now refer to as the American version of a beef taco, I found as an adult that I much prefer the milder flavor and taste of a traditional shredded beef taco.  This Crock Pot Shredded Beef Tacos recipe is one I developed in an effort to satisfy that craving without having to locate a local authentic Mexican food truck.  While they are quite simple, they are also very rich in flavor and perfect for a quick evening meal when you’ve had a long day at work.

We absolutely love this recipe. There aren’t a lot of recipes where my kids go back for seconds and thirds, but this one they do. Best of all, it is so easy to make that it’s a perfect choice for a weeknight meal.

One of our favorite twists with these Crock Pot Shredded Beef Tacos is to serve them with a bit of Feta cheese instead of the classic shredded cheddar you are familiar with.  Not only does it give a bit of bite but it is also creamy and goes well with the richness of the beef.

How do you prefer your tacos?

  7. Yum! We love eating tacos at our house but I tend to do the ground beef. This is so easy and saves me some time by just cooking in the crock pot. Thanx!

  20. I love beef in the crockpot. It is so tender and yummy! Perfect for tacos. Makes my mouth water and I haven’t even eaten breakfast yet! Thanks.

  21. I saw your picture on Lou Lou Girl’s Link party and literally said, “mmm” aloud :)
    Thanks for sharing.
I use lots of cumin in my chili seasoning.
I will have to adapt it a bit since my husband is anti-shredded meat, but I’m pinning this to try.
