I have always loved caramel. Give me caramel over hot fudge any day (or even better, combine them!). But I don’t particularly like the caramel sauces you can find in the normal grocery aisle. They aren’t as creamy and delicious as they should be in my mind. I want them to taste homemade. So when I received different flavors of Spoonable Caramel, I called my sister and we went out and had a taste-testing party with her family. The Brooklyn Butterscotch won the fan favorite, I think. It was heavenly. And I’m slightly embarrassed to say we didn’t just eat the caramel on ice cream. We put spoonfuls on paper plates and licked them off our fingers. That’s how good these caramels were. The Just Caramel took a close second. But really, it was almost impossible to choose. All the caramels had different flavors that would go so well with different things. We made a pulled pork with the Chili Caramel and it was to die for. Seriously. I would have never thought to pair caramels with a savory dish, but I am sold. I don’t think I could ever go back to any other kind of caramel – it’s Spoonable all the way!
