World’s Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

My mother makes the world’s best chocolate chip cookies! When I was a little girl, I was delighted when I smelled the aroma of fresh chocolate chip cookies baking to perfection.

As an adult, I like to carry on this tradition and frequently make these chocolate chip cookies. I know it’s not healthy for you, but I LOVE eating cookie dough; in fact, I like cookie dough better than actual cookies.

I have tried many cookie dough recipes and this chocolate chip cookie dough recipe is by far my favorite. When I make these chocolate chip cookies for others, I often receive many compliments pertaining to the cookies’ moist and delightful taste.

This recipe is way too good to keep to myself. I hope you enjoy baking the world’s best chocolate chip cookies!

Serves: Makes 3 dozen cookies
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl
  3. In a separate bowl, Soften butter and mix with granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until creamy
  4. Gradually stir flour mixture into creamy mixture
  5. Stir chocolate chips in last
  6. Drop by the spoonful onto lightly greased baking sheets
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes
  8. Place cookie onto cooling rack immediately after removing from oven

Because this recipe makes so many cookies, I like to freeze the cookies that I don’t eat right away and pull them out at a later time for a yummy snack.

I find that when I freeze a few in a zip lock bag and then let them defrost on their own, these cookies taste as good as new. Enjoy!
