My mother makes the world’s best chocolate chip cookies! When I was a little girl, I was delighted when I smelled the aroma of fresh chocolate chip cookies baking to perfection.
As an adult, I like to carry on this tradition and frequently make these chocolate chip cookies. I know it’s not healthy for you, but I LOVE eating cookie dough; in fact, I like cookie dough better than actual cookies.
I have tried many cookie dough recipes and this chocolate chip cookie dough recipe is by far my favorite. When I make these chocolate chip cookies for others, I often receive many compliments pertaining to the cookies’ moist and delightful taste.
This recipe is way too good to keep to myself. I hope you enjoy baking the world’s best chocolate chip cookies!
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 t salt
- 1 cup margarine, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl
- In a separate bowl, Soften butter and mix with granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until creamy
- Gradually stir flour mixture into creamy mixture
- Stir chocolate chips in last
- Drop by the spoonful onto lightly greased baking sheets
- Cook for 8-10 minutes
- Place cookie onto cooling rack immediately after removing from oven
Because this recipe makes so many cookies, I like to freeze the cookies that I don’t eat right away and pull them out at a later time for a yummy snack.
I find that when I freeze a few in a zip lock bag and then let them defrost on their own, these cookies taste as good as new. Enjoy!
