Are you experiencing a stressful situation? It seems that most people are faced with various stressors on a daily basis. For some, stress may come from parenthood; others may experience stress in the workplace or at school. For me, motherhood brings an abundance of stress to my life. Although stressful situations often seem inevitable, I’ve found various ways to cope with stress. Hopefully these simple 10 tips will help you find ways to alleviate stress from your life.

1. Meditate – Close your eyes and take yourself to your happy place. Dim the lights, turn on some soft tunes, and take some time to sort through your thoughts.


2. Breath deeply – Take a deep breath in, hold it for a few seconds, and blow out through pursed lips. Sometimes taking a second to take a few deep breaths can change your whole outlook on a situation.

3. Reward yourself – Have something to look forward to at the end of each day when the kiddos go to bed. For me, I look forward to exercising, watching my favorite show, and taking a nice hot bubble bath.

4. Aromatherapy – The power of scents is proven to eliminate stress. Roll Aveda’s Stress-Fix Concentrate over your body and enjoy the smell of lavender, lavandin, and clarysage.


5. Laughter – After a tough and stressful day, laughter is truly the best medicine. Watch a funny video on YouTube or look up some funny pins on Pinterest.


6. Write your thoughts down – There is something truly therapeutic about writing down your thoughts. Get a pen and paper and just start writing whatever comes to mind. If that fails, make a gratitude journal. Counting your blessings sure puts things into perspective.

7. Listen to music – Put on your favorite song, turn up the volume, and sing your heart out.

8. Call a friend – Call a friend and reminisce about good times.

I havent tried Aveda products before but the Botanical Kinetics Skin Care Starter Set Oily/Normal Skin sounds great!

I want to try some of the specialized lotions for my extra dry, sensitive skin like the All-Sensitiveā„¢ Moisturizer. I think this would help me out and not cause my skin to have an allergic reaction.

I love Aveda because they really have theONLY hair products that don't leave my scalp an itchy, pimply mess. and that means one less stress for me

Aveda is one of my favorite brands! I love their color conditioners, they really brighten up your color between salon visits!
