Two Easy DIY Project Tutorials

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of BIC®. All opinions are 100% mine.

I really enjoy crafting and doing DIY projects, but sometimes DIY turns into a HUGE project that takes a lot of supplies, time, and energy. My favorite DIY projects are the simple ones that only take a few minutes to make something meaningful and enjoyable! That’s what I’m loving about these two easy DIY projects! They each can be made in 5 minutes and take just two items on hand for each!

I’ll show you just how easy these two projects are in this 4-minute video clip. Seriously, they are easy enough that I can detail how to make both in just four minutes. I shared the tutorial for these two projects in previous posts, so if you want to save the written tutorial, you can head over to those posts. This video will show you:

We’ve had so much fun with these two completed projects. We had a rain day just about a week after I made the umbrella, and my son was thrilled to take the personalized umbrella with him to school.

My younger boys have played with our treasure map a bunch of times over the past few weeks. They have set off on an imaginary hunt both indoors and out. We have a ditch behind our home to collect rain when we get flash floods. When the weather is clear, it’s the perfect place to have an adventure!

  1. Two of our three littlest ones are big fans of Jake and the Neverland Pirates, I think doing the treasure map for them will be a fun project for the bigger kids to do. Maybe we’ll even put some ‘treasure” at the end of the map.

  2. Both of these projects are so fun! I think my kids would love to decorate their umbrellas like this, and I think it’s a unique and thoughtful gift for someone who is down.
