It is a chilly morning. You rub your eyes and stumble out of bed. If your house is like mine a crying baby or demanding toddler is involved. Once said child is happily eating breakfast, I love to grab my favorite mug and slippers and curl up with something warm to drink. I feel like most people have a favorite mug. The one they grab without even thinking or search for when you find it missing from the cupboard.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Albertsons. The opinions and text are all mine.
My mug of choice is an old favorite. It used to sit on my desk when I was school teacher. Every time I see it, I am reminded of all my cute students and how much I loved my career before starting my new job title of “mom”. I still get to teach daily, but my students never change anymore. I am so grateful for the seasons of life and the reminder of my past roles.
Quick & Easy Milk Steamer Recipe
Now that you are thinking about your favorite mug, what is your favorite thing to put in it? At our house we love to make milk steamers, they are so easy and perfect for chilly mornings. Have you ever made a steamer before? It really is quite simple. Here is what you will need:
- Milk (any kind will do, whole milk makes your drink more rich)
- Coffee Creamer in your favorite flavor
- Whip Cream
- Sprinkles for fun
Pour your milk into a sauce pan. Heat slowly while whisking as you stir. The more you whisk, the more froth you will have. I like mine really frothy.
In the meantime prepare your mug. Add 2 Tbls of your favorite creamer flavor or combination of flavors to the bottom of your mug. Hazelnut and vanilla are my go to flavors.
Once your milk it hot and frothy, pour into your mug and stir well. Top with whip cream and sprinkles. Everything is better with whip cream and sprinkles, right!?
