Strawberry & Balsamic Herb Salad Recipe!

I received Lawry’s 3 seasonings to use in a recipe for this campaign. I was also given a stipend for my groceries and my time. The opinions are my own.

I was given the opportunity to join in on a really fun summer cooking contest called “A Fabulous Summer of Flavor” on behalf of Lawry’s! Myself and 5 other fabulous bloggers are working together as a team to add a special flair to our favorite everyday meals using Lawry’s seasonings!! To make the brainstorming a little easier we split into teams of two to come up with a few ideas for our individual course and then brought the ideas back together as a group to come up with one fabulous meal plan! Here’s our meal:

Lawry’s Cheese Stuffed Chicken
Zucchini Fries
Strawberries & Balsamic Herb Salad

What a meal, right!! My partner at Wholesome Mommy and I both worked to come up with a few salad ideas using Lawry’s Balsamic Herb Marinade. My Strawberry Salad was picked as the best one for the meal as a whole and Wholesome Mommy suggested adding in some delicious candied pecans to really give the salad a pop! The salad turned out SO DELICIOUS that both me and my 2 year old gobbled it down! But, what’s even better, was how SIMPLE it is to make that this will be my Go-To recipe whenever I need to bring a salad along! So, here’s how you make the salad! Ingredient list is underlined throughout.

Lawry's Salad

Strawberries & Balsamic Herb Salad

Slice your strawberries and lay them out on the cutting board or plate. Drizzle Lawry’s Balsamic Herb Marinade over the strawberries. Lightly mix or toss the strawberries coat them in the marinade. Pepper them to taste. Add on top of your favorite lettuce or greens. Then, add in cheese and candied pecans if desired!

You can make the entire recipe, including homemaking the candied pecans, in under 20 minutes!!! I used spinach and green leaf lettuce for my salad, but you could also use romaine or your favorite variety. I also used Parmesan cheese as I had it on hand, but other varieties of cheese would be good to!

  18. I posted this recipe idea on debbie's blog as well, but here it is again. I thought that the seasoning salt could act as an Old Bay type seasoning for grilled shrimp, and thought that this would go well with a tangy hot sauce (franks red hot?) and i had pasta on the brain, so…
Spaghetti with Salt-Seasoned Grilled Shrimp and Red Hot Caramelized Onions

i actually might have to make this now…
i commented on debbie's blog, a wholesome mommy's, and one a month mom's as well.
