With my 4th child on the way and growing youngsters, car seats an important topic to me. I have to watch expiration dates, make sure they are properly installed, check the weight limits, and even try to fit several seats across crowded back seats. With Diono’s RadianRXT Car Seat, these common concerns are simplified!

This one car seat can do it all from a rear-facing infant as small as 5 lbs to a 5-point forward facing harness seat up to 80 lbs and then continued used as a booster seat up to 120 lbs! The RadianRXT seat also features a 10 year life range, meaning it will last as long as your child needs to ride in a car seat! Plus, the RadianRXT seat is ultra slim both in width and depth giving you a great fit in small cars and for a 3 across the back seat scenario!

Diono Radian RXT Car Seat Review

When I was searching for car seats when my oldest needed to move from his bulky convertible car seat to a slimmer seat to make room for my second child, I searched and read tons of reviews to find a great car seat we would love. I finally settled on a Radian80 (no longer made) which we have owned and loved for 3 years now.

It is a similar seat to the RadianRXT, but things have only gotten better with Diono’s Radian line of car seats! They took everything I love from my Radian80 car seat and improved on it! I am seriously amazed by how awesome the RadianRXT seat is and couldn’t be happier! Some of the improvements I love include the removable cup holder, side “wings” of the seat that fold out for a wider and roomy seat area when needed, higher weight limit, booster seat ability, and more!

I also love that my rear facing 21 month old has SO MUCH more room than in his previous bulky convertible seat! His legs aren’t cramped and uncomfortable and the low profile allows him to see out of his seat much better. The attachment base for rear facing also fits our van benches like a dream so I didn’t have to fiddle around at all with trying to get the positioning right and installation was really easy.

There are a few small steps needed for switching the car seat from rear facing, forward facing, and booster positions, but even then it’s pretty quick to make the changes. My favorite thing which I absolutely love is that the RadianRXT can be used with all 3 of my boys and their different sizes and needs! This is a HEAVY car seat because of the steel beams, but even still, I absolutely recommend this car seat!!

  266. LOVE the seat for many reasons, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put the chest clip at arm pit level. Having it on the stomach can cause internal bleeding and/or death in an accident. Even though Im sure this picture was taken just for the blog, Id hate for someone to assume that is how to correctly place it.
