There is not much worse than getting sick and not being ready and armed with the tools you need to feel better quick. Each year as the new school year starts, and the seasons start to turn the corner to fall, I know it’s just a matter of time until the coughs, cold, and even the flu might hit our home.
To prepare for cold season and be ready for whatever comes our way, I stock up by preparing my medicine cabinet supplies so it’s ready to go when we need it. It’s great to have a second on hand to help out a friend or neighbor in need.
I’m proud to partner with CVS Pharmacy on this post for the CVS Health brand line. All opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.
“Get Well” Kit Essentials List
No get well kit would be complete without some medicines to help boost your immunity, fight off a bug, or just help you get quickly back to feeling good. Our essentials list would never be complete without these essential feel better medicines:
- Cough Drops
- Daytime and Nighttime cold & Flu relief
- Stomach Relief
- Vitamin C
- Pain Relief
- Antiacid
- Bandanges to help with wounds
- Cranberry
- Children’s Ibuprofen
- Children’s Cough & Cold
Whenever we feel a bug coming on, or if our friends and loved ones are sick, we take some precautions with vitamin c, drinking lots of water and making sure everyone is washing their hands!
When restocking our get well kit, I turn to CVS brand health products. They help save me money and still give me a fantastic product I can trust to help my family to feel good again fast!
I really appreciate that there are bundle and save specials that really help me stock up. CVS Brand health Cold & Flu products were on sale buy 1, get the second 50% off.
I also grabbed a dual pack of daytime/nighttime Children’s cold medicine at big savings compared to buying them individually. I also spotted lots of bonus packs throughout the store. So
Round Out your Medicine Cabinet Supplies List:
If you want to throw in even more items to round-out the kit, these consumable extras are great for sprucing up the kit.
- Homemade soup
- Electrolyte drinks
- Heat pack
- Tissues
- Get Well jokes for kids
The one thing that always cheers up my boys when they’re feeling down is humor! When the sick days hit, most of the time they just want to rest and recuperate, but there are times when they are still feeling playful.
You can laminate these jokes and keep them in your get well kit so they’re always ready. My kids like to quiz me on the jokes while I’m dosing medicine for them and it helps the medicine go down with a giggle.
