I love crepes. The texture, the variety of flavors, and the way that it feels as though you are eating something so rich but so light at the same time.

For another amazing homemade breakfast option, try our pancake mix from scratch. A little bit thicker of a batter than the crepe, but still just as good!

EASY CREPES

Growing up, we didn’t eat a ton of crepes. There were something that was made every once in a while, but most times, not. Now that I’m an adult, I love to make these for myself and my kids!

Not only are they simple to make, but they are quite a bit of fun as well. While they look so delicate, they’re pretty durable to flip! Just don’t take your eyes off them because they can burn quickly.

HOW TO MAKE A CREPE:

Prep Time: 5 minutes            Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup DairyPure milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Crepes Recipe Directions:

Mix together flour, Dairy Pure milk, water, and eggs. Reserve aside the butter.

Melt a dab of butter in the pan. Pour crepe batter into the pan in a thin layer, spread with the back of a spatula if necessary.

Cook until the edges appear cooked through, then flip and cook the other side. The crepes will cook pretty quickly, watch carefully so they do not burn.

Now, fill with your favorite toppings. Preserves, fresh fruit, powdered sugar, whipped topping, and Nutella are all great toppings. Have fun with your choices!

Serve rolled or for a more traditional look, fold the crepes.

I love crepes! We make them all the time too! Knowing how easy they are to make, it makes it harder to pay for them in restaurants!
