Distilling this Homemade Degreaser could not be any easier. It takes just 2 ingredients to make and 2 weeks to distill and then you will need a spray bottle to use your homemade degreaser from.
- 1) 32oz bottle of Organic Distilled white Vinegar
- 4) Orange peels (the whole peel from 4 oranges)
Put the peels into the container, then pour the Vinegar into the container, seal closed and allow to distill for 2 weeks or more.
NOTE: I did not make a full batch
After the proper distilling time: The product is ready to be poured into the spray bottle of choice and used to clean your greasy areas.
This is not a full batch. I just wanted to make sure that it worked before putting together a full batch.
So far I am very happy with the results. The hood over my stove is always the worst place for greasy build up.
This is the before picture, if you look closely you can see how gunky it is. I sprayed the hole area and let the homemade degreaser set for a short while, then wiped clean.
It wiped clean easily and left it shiny and smooth to the touch. You need to ignore the rust spot, this is an old hood.
I hope you will give this a try and let me know your thoughts.
