You’ve just enjoyed your Thanksgiving Feast, and now you’re looking for ways to re-purpose the meal and keep enjoying the leftovers for the days to come. Dishing up your leftovers into individual portions in a mason jar makes the leftovers easy to grab and eat and gives you a perfect balance of all the favorite Thanksgiving foods in an easy to grab-and-go dish. You can take it with you to work or pack for school lunch or just store in the fridge so you don’t have to pull out every dish full of leftovers to make up a plate.
Mason Jar Thanksgiving Leftovers
You’ll Need:
- Mason Jars
- Turkey Gravy
- Turkey
- Stuffing
- Potatoes
- Corn (or Green Beans)
Start the bottom of your mason jar by pouring about 1/4 cup of gravy. Next, layer on 2-3 pieces of turkey. If you have ham leftovers as well, you can add them here also. Now, layer 1/4 cup each of stuffing and potatoes.
Sprinkle a veggie like corn or green beans on top. Cover with your mason jar lid and store in the refrigerator. Your leftovers will stay good for 2-3.
When you’re ready to serve, warm the entire mason jar in the microwave and heat for 2 minutes, then serve.
This makes for a really fun presentation of the leftovers and really cuts down on the overall mess and dishes required of storing all the leftovers and grabbing plates each time you dish up a portion to eat. Just grab, microwave, and enjoy! Perfect for encouraging your kids and spouse to eat up the Thanksgiving leftovers when they are hungry.
