You’re Already Amazing:
Embracing Who You Are, Becoming All God Created You to Be

By: Holley Gerth

Revell Books has a great new release perfect as a Mother’s Day gift for the women in your life you love. You’re Already Amazing, by Holley Gerth, shares the message with women that we don’t always have to be more than we are and that it’s time to step back and come to love ourselves and become the women God has intended us to become!

“Psst . . . pull up a chair and I’ll tell you a secret. You’d better lean in close for this one.

Ready?

You don’t have to do more, be more, have more.

I’m sure there are security alarms going off somewhere. You should probably hide this book when your in-laws come over.

But it’s true.

It’s the kind of true that will change your life, set you free, and make you wake up smiling for the first time in a long time. I know because that’s what it did for me. . . .

So watch out, sister. If you keep reading you just might be next.”

With this heart-to-heart message, Holley Gerth invites you to embrace one very important truth–that you truly are already amazing. Like a trusted friend, Holley gently shows you how to forget the lies and expectations the world feeds you and instead believe that God loves you and has bigger plans for your life than you’ve even imagined.

My Thoughts: I absolutely love the premise of this book! I know sometimes it is so hard to see past the judgements placed all around us and remember that we were created by God and are really uniquely special and important in his eyes. When we remember that perspective that we are loved by God and have our own individual purpose and talents, we can rise up to become the individuals he has intended for us to each become. This is a sweet book that doubles as a bit of a workbook as you work your way through the chapters and can fill in your strengths, talents, weaknesses, and even “lies” you’ve believed about yourself as you try to take control of your self image and believe in yourself and your own abilities. This is a great book for Mother’s Day as a positive and uplifting book for the women in your life you know are much more powerful, beautiful, smart, or talented (and on and on) then they believe about themselves.

You’re Already Amazing is available at your favorite local book store as well as on Amazon and retails for $13.99.

  1. This sounds like a great book and one I could certainly implement currently.

  2. I love that I don’t have to do more,  be more, have more.  I’ve been unemployed since 2008 and I could use some encourgement that I’m okay just the way I am.

  3. Sounds like a book that would really help me out!  I need some positives right now.

  4. Amazing! It looks like something everyone needs to be reminded of every once in a while! I always catch myself comparing myself to other moms and thinking I’m not doing the best. But then I remember, we are all different, and just because we are different it doesn’t mean we are inferior or superior to others.

  5. I like the premise of the book – too many of us feel like we always have to do more – some people in our lives are constantly telling us we don’t do enough.  This is a good reminder to us to slow down.

  6. I think this is something we all really need to hear, and a great book to keep in every woman’s library

  7. I like the idea surrounding the book.  So often I’m too hard on myself, and something like this might be good to remind me of all the positives!

  8. i love the premise of this book. sometimes we all get caught in the expectations of what others think we should be which generally causes stress and tension on one side of or the other.shes (the author) right its time to stop and smell the roses.

  9. I love the subject matter of the book. I think that its easy to forget how valuable and wonderful we truly are! I love how uplifting the subject is!

  10. I love the subject matter.  Its funny because lately I have been feeling frustrated with myself.  Little did I expect my husband to come to my rescue with wise thought simiar to those expressed in the review.

  11. If we don’t love ourselves fully and completely, we can’t truly
    love others…Thanks, Cindi

  12. I think it’s great ~ we all need to focus on what God wants us to do and who we are in His eyes and not on what other people think.  Thanks.

  13. We need to embrace who we are and love that person.  To love others, you have to love yourself first.
