Do you remember as a kid how incredibly exciting it was to go to the toy store? I can remember so clearly as a kid that when my siblings and I (there were six of us) were all loaded up in the car going somewhere we had this chat we would sing to my dad every so often. I think it was usually prompted by him, because my dad is just that cool. We would sing out, “Daddy dearest, let’s go to Toys”R”Us” and repeat it over and over! It became one of our family memories we all look back on and still jokingly say to my dad to this day.
Now, as a mother of 4 boys, I too have kids that love to visit the toy store. When we went to New York City earlier this year, we spent an afternoon visiting the largest Toys”R”Us I have ever been to, complete with a ferris wheel, huge dinosaur that moves and enormous Lego replicas! I can think of no better place than Toys”R”Us to shop for the holidays this year. In fact, they’ve found a fun way to give back to the community – see how they surprised a bus full of kids with a trip to their toy store!
I loved watching the excitement on their faces as they headed into the store to their own favorite types of toys. I adore the sweet little girl who talked about the qualities of a Princess. While you’re preparing for the holidays, head in to Toys”R”Us to find the perfect gifts!
