Microsoft recently launched a program to help students heading off to college. “Did you know that 94% of students feel that they need a computer before graduation? And that 82% plan to head to college with a new computer?” Now, there’s a great way to help out the graduates in your life succeed with a gift you know they will love by chipping in!
Microsoft will help students to get a new Windows PC or tablet they need for school with their Chip In program. Students can crowdsource contributions from their friends and family to reach their goal the need for their new device. Microsoft will contribute, too, chipping in 10 percent of the purchase price on select PCs for participating! Plus, the first 10,000 students to fully fund their PC will also receive a complimentary four-year subscription to Office 365 University!
How to Join the Chip In Program
Sign up to participate at http://www.windowschipin.com/
You will need a valid .edu email address or documentation of enrollment in a university or accredited institution to be qualified. Participating students then select from a wide range of qualified Windows 8 PCs and tablets and create their own customized giving page.
Finally, students will share their page and enlist the help of their friends with social media or email and collect donations towards their new computer fund.
Surface RT Special Offer
Whether you are a student or not, you’ll love Windows Surface RT! For a limited time, when you purchase a Surface RT you will receive a free Touch Cover, Touch Cover Limited Edition, or a Type Cover. These covers adds in a keyboard to let your Surface RT double as a laptop for a portable and flexible option!
Do you know a student heading off to college? Be sure to let them know about the Chip In program! The program runs through September 1, 2013.
