Looney Labs Choose One! Board Game Review

I received the board game Choose One! in compensation for this post. All views expressed are my own.

Would your friend rather eat Twinkies or Ho-Hos? Do they prefer listening to Michael Jackson or Prince? Would they rather devour sushi or steak? Are they more of a Bill Cosby or Eddie Murphy fan? These are just a few of the challenging questions you’ll encounter playing Looney Labs’ Choose One! board game.

ChooseOne-3DChoose One! is a great game to test just how well you know your friends. This 20-40 minute game is perfect for 3-10 players – talk about a perfect party game. Before starting the game, each player chooses a token to represent their personality and places it at the beginning of the scoring track. Dealing each player two Choice Cards (color coded blue and white) and 5 Topic Cards in their hand, the game starts by picking a Chooser; the Chooser selects a Topic Card from their hand and displays it to everyone: Window of Aisle? Hufflepuff or Slytherin?

After the Chooser selects their own decision (the colors on the Choice Cards correspond to items on Topic Card), everyone else then votes regarding the Chooser’s decision by placing a Choice Card face down. The goal of the game is to try and predict which choice the Chooser will make. If you predicted the Chooser’s correct outcome, you can then advance on the scoring track. If no one guesses correctly, the Chooser gets to advance two spaces. However, there are a few catches; there is no bluffing, if everyone chooses correctly, no one advances. The short of it is – predict the Chooser’s outcome.

Although my husband and I have known each other for many years, I have discovered many new things about my him by playing Choose One. For example, I had no idea that my husband preferred Star Wars over Star Trek. My husband and I both love playing this game and agree Choose One is a perfect party game. Choose One provides constant humor and thought-provoking questions. We can’t wait to play this at our next friends gathering.
