3 Lessons Learned from Incredible Women #WonderWoman

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Dr Pepper®. The opinions and text are all mine.

Have you had women in your life that have impacted you–made a mark on who you are that is lasting that it changes who you were? I have been privileged to know many incredible women. Women that have changed who I am and molded me to become someone better, someone stronger.  Dr Pepper wants you to appreciate the Wonder Woman in your life and has asked me to share my story.

Every great woman in my life I can think of drinks Dr Pepper. Not just drinks it, but nearly lives by it. It runs through their veins. I want to share 3 special women in my life and the powerful lessons they have each taught me.

A Lesson from a Best Friend

A good friend can teach you how to give, share, enjoy life, challenge yourself, and be comfortable being you. I’ve learned all these lessons, and many more, from the care of my best friend. The lesson that stands out to me from my friend is her get up and act attitude. She is the type that hears of a problem, and comes up with a handful of ideas to try on the fly. She’ll problem solve and tinker and help anyone she can. She’ll come over to my house and start washing dishes because she can see the frazzled mother with too much on her plate. Or she’ll step up to help a stranger because she can sense their need. From her I have learned to…

help others as whole-heartedly as you can.

A Lesson from a Mother-in-Law

My mother-in-law is a pretty incredible woman. I’ve yet to see a task she’s not willing to at least try to tackle. It doesn’t matter to her that she is not an expert, or even that it’s something she’s never tried before, she will jump in with both feet and put in 110% effort. She’s rebuilt a deck, tiled a home, reupholstered furniture, refinished wood flooring, inspired others to walk to lose weight, ventured on a long summer road trip with 8 grandkids in tow. That’s just to name a few that come to the top of my mind. The lesson I learn from my mother-in-law is…

don’t be afraid to try, and try, and try.

A lesson from a Stranger

There is a really special woman who came into my life as a complete stranger. Over just a few short months, she became one of the most important people in my life. She taught me love. A love without boundaries or limits or excuses. She loved me, she loved my baby, and she’s raised him to be an incredible, amazing person. I still feel her unbridled love, even when it’s been a long year since we’ve talked. She taught me, through her example…

love is the most powerful language.

Love reading about your mother in law, she sounds like an awesome woman. It's so refreshing to hear a daughter in law talk so highly of their mother in law.
