Nothing heals the soul like a good heart-felt laugh. Playing Hasbro’s Funny or Die game (based on the popular funny video website), brings chuckles galore. Funny or Die allows you to pair funny captions with hilarious photos. Perfect for parties and get-togethers, this 3-6 player game will bring a smile to your face.
The game starts with each player being dealt 5 cards (after each turn, players draw a new card keeping 5 cards in hand at all time), $10,000, and Funny and Die tokens. Each card has a funny picture on one side accompanied by a random caption on the back. At the beginning of each turn, a die is rolled; the icon that appears face up tells you which side of the community cards will be used that round. For example, if the picture icon appears, 3 hilarious random picture cards are displayed in the center of the table. Players must then match their best caption with the picture of choice; if caption icon appears on die, players must provide favorite picture from hand of cards.
Everyone who would like to participate in each round pays the amount shown on the die to play. Using your “Funny” and “Die” tokens, players then vote on the best picture/caption combination. These combinations become quite funny. My family played Funny or Die the other day and these were some of our favorite pictures and captions:
The short of it is, the player with the most “Funny” tokens wins all of the money. The player with the most money at the end of the game wins the entire game.
Like I mentioned earlier, my family played the Funny or Die game a few nights ago and had a total blast! This game allows for creativity and hours of fun. With so many captions and pictures to choose from, this game never gets old! Trust me, you will laugh your head off playing Funny or Die at your next game night.
