Delicious Food at Cafe Zupas

I received a meal at Cafe Zupas in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.

When you think of home, as in the place you are from, what is the first thing you think of? Mine is family and friends, but it is closely followed by food. I don’t want to know what that says about me.

When we moved away from home to start dental school there were certain restaurants that I would, ha still do, crave. When I became pregnant with our second child, those craving got way worse! One of my favorite places to eat at home in Utah is Cafe Zupas, in fact my little sister works there and we still love it! I feel like that says a lot about a restaurant. Cafe Zupas finally made its way to Arizona, but it was still a good 45 minutes away from me. You can imagine my excitement when I found out that they were opening one up just up the road from me! Ah… all the delicious soups, sandwiches, and salads I can eat!

I was lucky enough to take my family to there opening sneak peek, we sure did fill our belly’s with delicious food! Lets have a look at the amazing dishes we tried!

I had the Yucatan Chipotle Chicken Salad, Turkey Spinach Artichoke Sandwich and Tomato Basil/ Wisconsin Cauliflower soup. This might sound crazy, but this tasty combo is the food I missed the most! When I order it I get some weird looks but it is worth it! I just ask for the two soups side by side. The Wisconsin Cauliflower is also tasty mixed with the Wild Mushroom Bisque.

My husband had the Thai Mango Salad, Honey Cilantro Carnitas Sandwich, and Chicken Enchilada Chili. His sandwich is my new favorite! It was amazing! I get hungry just thinking about it.

Our kids both had the Chicken and Fruit Cup kids meal and loved it. My 3-year-old can be picky sometimes but he scarfed all his chicken and half of his sisters too!

After that we all shared dessert. The Chocolate Hazelnut Creme Brûlée is out of this world!

When you get your order they also put a chocolate covered strawberry on your tray. Ironically, my little girl is the only one in our family who likes strawberries (I know how crazy that is) and we ended up with five of them for the four of us. She was more than happy to take care of them for us, though. Her eyes got as big as dinner plates when she saw those delicious strawberries there for her to enjoy!
