My husband and I love going on fun family outings; We enjoy planning adventures that involve my seven month old son. This past weekend, we took our son to Big Surf Water Park in Phoenix, Arizona to enjoy a day of family fun. Big Surf caters to all ages; From young child to adult, there are activities for everyone. Because Big Surf is perfect for all ages, our first family water park experience proved successful.
Measuring 2.5 million gallons of water, Big Surf‘s Waikiki Beach is home to the third largest wave pool. Producing a wave every three minutes, you feel like you’re swimming in the ocean. Designated times allows people to surf, boogie board, or just enjoy the waves. Waikiki Beach is definitely a family favorite. My husband enjoyed swimming out and riding these large waves to the beach while my son and I waded in the shallow area.
Because my husband is a daredevil, he enjoyed plunging down the hurricane slides. These tunnel water slides offer a thrill. Because I am more reserved, but still like to have fun, my favorite water slide was the Tornado Twister; Sitting in a double tube, my husband and I enjoyed our ride to the bottom in a dark tunnel full of unexpected twists and turns.
Not only did my husband and I enjoy riding Big Surf‘s Slides, but Big Surf offers many attractions for the kiddos! Whether your little one enjoys swimming in shallow water, splashing in a splash pad, or going down fun slides, Big Surf really does cater to all ages. I enjoyed spending time with my son in Bora Bora Bay. This shallow pool allowed my seven month old to splash and enjoy the water while sitting in the shade. He loved watching the tipping tree frogs dump buckets of water into the pool. Watching other children ride the colorful Otter Slides, I was quite impressed with the variety of child-friendly attractions.
My son’s favorite area of play included Captain Cook’s Landing. My son had a blast sitting and splashing in this ankle deep water. Captain Cook’s Landing was full of fun squirt toys, miniature slides, and fun animals to play on. As a mother, I enjoyed being able to play with my son in this shallow water.
At the end of the day, I enjoyed being able to relax under one of many shaded areas. To say the least, my family had a BLAST swimming at Big Surf Water park. Whether you are young or old, Big Surf caters to all ages. We give Big Surf two thumbs up and can’t wait to return.

That place looks like a complete day of fun, but I'd probably be hanging out in the shallows like you did!
