Frozen Marshmallow Hot Chocolate
Are you fans of winter at your house? We love it at ours, well most of us do! The holidays, the snow, the snuggly layers and bundled up fun. Even though we live in the desert we have favorite activities for when we are here AND when we are visiting family in more snowy areas. It seems like there are so many fun activities to do as a family. Some of our favorites include:
- Building a snowman
- Having a snowball fight
- Make snowflakes out of coffee filters to add to the windows
- Playing board games
- Watching movies together
I have been compensated for this post, all opinions and ideas are my own.Â
Our absolute favorite thing to do in the winter is make cookies. Sometimes we make them from scratch and other times we just grab some pre-made dough, we are not picky! While those delicious cookies are baking and making our house smell so yummy and comfy, we grab a big blanket and curl up with our favorite books. We could read and read all day. Then the timer goes off and we gobble up those tasty treats while they are still warm with a giant glass of chocolate milk. What could be better than that, right?
Try switching out your regular, plain old chocolate milk with TruMoo’s Limited Edition Chocolate Marshmallow Milk. Talk about a special treat! This milk is so yummy and rich and just like all of TruMoo’s milk it is made with wholesome low-fat white milk, no artificial growth hormones or high fructose corn syrup, and is brought to you by your trusted local dairy. This milk combines your favorite flavors of chocolate and marshmallow into the perfect smooth blend. We like to drink it cold and we love it even better warmed up hot. It makes for the most perfect, snuggly afternoon.Â
When the day has been really special we like to make a fancy treat. This Frozen Marshmallow Hot Chocolate pairs perfectly with warm cookies, you have to try it!

- 3 oz of your favorite chocolate
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow Milk
- 3 cups Ice
- Whipped Cream
- Chocolate Shavings
In a double boiler or just in a closely watched sauce pan, stir your chocolate pieces until melted. Add the sugar and 1/2 cup milk. Stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
In your blender add the remaining milk, room temperature chocolate mixture, and the ice. Blend on high until desired consistency, think smoothie texture. Top with whip cream and chocolate shavings.

Just what the doctor ordered on this cold wintry day!
We tried TruMoo for the first time a few weeks ago. It was delicious. I’ve have to look for this flavor.

Yep. It’s official. After I make this I will have clenched the “Awesome Mom” title for at least another month. =D
That sounds amazing, and it’s perfect for me! I used to drink hot chocolate when I lived in Rhode Island. Now that I live in Florida, it makes sense to start drinking frozen hot chocolate. 😉
Holy chocolate chow down, Batman! I really want to try this.
How have I not seen that new TruMoo? I am heading out tomorrow and will have to keep my eye opened for it. Thanks so much for sharing 🙂
