A few weeks ago, I took my son to a train park in Scottsdale, Arizona. Let me tell you, he had the time of his life and has been all “choo-choo” talk ever since! Since visiting the train park, my son constantly looks for “choo-choos” out the car window, prefers ONLY watching train shows, and plays with his trains ALL day long.
Have a train enthusiast in your home? Give these exciting train themed activities a try!
I received Chuggington Products in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
Exciting Train Themed Activities
Use trains as magnets: Use the magnetic part of your train to teach your little ones about magnets. This is the perfect activity to teach the words “repel” and “attract” in relation to magnets. Gather magnetic objects and allow your child to use their trains to pick them up.
Watch a train themed show: Our favorite train-themed show is definitely Chuggington‘s Explorer Koko ($9.99). In fact, this is the one movie that fully captures his attention; he will stand right next to the television and watch the entire show. As a mom, I appreciate that Explorer Koko teaches valuable life lessons such as trying new things, always doing your best, the importance of friendship, and working hard.
Creative open-ended play: Nothing makes my son more excited than constructing and playing with Chuggington’s Wooden Railway Koko’s Safari Set ($80). What I like about this track is that it has many different ways to construct the tracks. Endless possibilities provide many creative outlets for my son.
Koko’s Safari set contains beautiful crafted wooden tracks, fun tunnels, exciting drops, and cute safari animals; I can see why this Safari Set is my son’s toy of choice.
Every morning when my son wakes up, he takes my hand and leads me to the closet where I keep Koko’s Safari Adventure. He points to the closet and asks, “choo-choo please?” We enjoy spending our mornings building fun tracks and celebrating my son’s love for trains.
Celebrate you child’s love for trains by promoting creative play with Koko’s Safari Adventure.

We have a train inside our mall, the kids love it. We also have a train set on a table in my son's room. Both my kids love trains and love playing with them. I hope I can take them on a real train one day.
