Candlewick Press Kids Books

I received books in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.

Hi, my name is Aimee and I have a family of bookworms. We love to read in our house, more than anything! I am so happy about that. My kids love to snuggle up with a book after book after book, and I am more than willing to join them.

When I taught school one of my students once told me her mom says that a book you have read over and over again is called an old friend. That totally stuck with me and I think of it every time my kids pull out their weathered and torn favorites. I am constantly on the look out for new “friends” and I would love to introduce you our most recent favorites kids books.

My little guy, is totally into trains. It is all we talk about these days and when I saw this kids book I just knew it would be an instant hit. How to Train A Train by Jason Carter Eaton is the go to guide book to teach you everything you need to know about finding, keeping, and training your very own pet train. The illustrations by John Rocco are perfection. This book is so cute and a must have in any home!

As for my little girl, she is such a spit fire. She loves to get dressed up fancy and then play in the mud! After reading No Bears by Meg McKinlay with illustrations by Leila Rudge, I couldn’t help but think of her! No Bears is about Ella. Ella is writing a story, she is in charge and what she says goes, and she says no bears! She is tried of fairy tales that always seems to depend on or revolve around bears. Ella knows she can tell a story without them! Keep your eye out in the illustrations and see just how successful she is!

Both of these books have become “Old Friends” at our house, and I sure they will be favorites at your house too! Each of them can be found on Amazon here and here. They range from $15.99-16.99. Candlewick Press is offering one lucky winner a copy of both!
