Are You a Chief Memory Officer?

Guest article By Jason Merkoski, Co-Founder, Be Forever Me

Do you use your mobile phone to record, save and share special memories?

Do you post your memories on social media to share with friends and family?

Do you hunt through forgotten family collectibles like old photographs, VHS tapes and old audio recordings in search of material to help you better understand where you came from?

Do you record your family’s stories to share with other family members, like parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles?

If so, then you are a Chief Memory Officer – or CMO for short. And as CMO, you can probably identify with our CMO, Emily.

Who is Emily?  She is a mom, wife, career woman and CMO. She relies on her mobile phone to stay connected personally and professionally, and when she’s not working, she is spending time with her family and friends.  Even with a busy schedule, she wants to capture and share important personal stories and events, which, of course, include gatherings for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and the holiday season as well as a fun night out like a dinner party with close friends, catching a local ball game, and impromptu date night.  But some of life’s greatest memories come when she least expects it, like Bobby’s first home run or baby Jane’s first step.  These are one-time experiences and memories that Emily wants to capture on video – that can be accessed and shared…forever.

Just a few years ago, as CMO, she would record, save and share the “old way” – using a camera to take pictures, mailing photographs to extended family, and storing extra photos to recording memories on VHS tapes while keeping those tapes in boxes stacked (and forgotten) in the garage.

Today, she can use her mobile phone, SnapCam or GoPro to instantly capture any story.  And with Be Forever Me, it’s even simpler!

As Chief Memory Officer and with Be Forever Me, Emily can:

  • Talk to the app to find the right moment in the right video at the right time
  • Instantly and intuitively record, access and engage with her personal stories and memories
  • Upload all of her past video and audio from her phone, tablet or computer into one safe, accessible location
  • Make her stories public or private
  • Share, like or comment so that family and friends can join in the conversation and gain deeper insights into the people they care about

With Be Forever Me, Emily can now preserve and share her experiences … forever.

Be Forever Me works with all of your Apple iOS devices (iPhone iPad, iPod), Macintosh and Windows computers, as well as GoPro and other wearable cameras.

Download Be Forever Me so that you, too, as Chief Memory Officer can start preserving and sharing your family’s most precious memories today, tomorrow… and forever.

What a great way to preserve memories. I really miss the "traditional" photo albums we had. I still love looking through my Grandma's.

I remember photos back in the day - both Polaroid and developed film. I love that tech has made it simpler for us to share and store memories for the loing term.
