Home Depot Holiday Workshop

I have a confession to make. I am one of those people who try to pull of all the Christmas decorations right after Halloween. My husband hates it and says I can’t get anything out until after Thanksgiving, but I seem to be able to pull a few things out earlier and earlier each year! I am a firm believer that you can be excited for the holidays and grateful at the same time!

Each year I always try to get a little crafting in and come up with something to add here and there to my decor. I find myself making trip after trip to Home Depot for wood, and paint, and all other types of goodies. Whenever I walk into that store the smell makes me think of my dad. I know that sounds strange, but I remember sitting on the big cart as my dad gathered wood and tools and supplies for his own projects when I was little. He is the one who gave my my DIY genes!

I am so excited to announce that I will be a Co-Lead at our local Home Depot for a DIY Holiday Workshop! Have you ever been to a Home Depot DIY Workshop? They offer free workshops for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels. My kids love their first saturday Kids Workshops. They are a great way to learn basic skills to take on more and more of your own home projects and upgrades! You can find workshops for all kinds of topics ranging from how to tile surfaces to gardening and deck staining, including unique, functional projects for both inside and outside your home.
