Easy Sugar Scrub

You will need:

Directions:

Start by shredding your melt & pour soap base and then add the soap to a double boiler, melting the soap. You can also melt your soap in the microwave, heating in 15 second intervals and stirring between each interval until melted.

Add your coconut oil and essential oil and mix until well combined.

Next, add in your mica coloring until you get a uniform color. You can use any color you’d like or skip coloring all together.

Finally, mix in the sugar and combine again. The result should look slushy. If the mixture gets too thick, reheat in the microwave for 10 seconds at a time until it is slushy and easy to pour.

Pour the soap mixture into silicone molds, you can use any mold you’d like, and allow to cool and harden completely, approximately 1-2 hours, before removing the sugar scrub from the molds.

Lavender essential oil is said to have a calming effect and is often used to reduce anxiety, stress, or promote sleep. If you don’t like lavender scent, you can add your own favorite scent like peppermint, orange oil, or eucalyptus. You can leave the soap unscented as well, if preferred.

You can present a set of Sugar Scrub soaps in a ribbon tied small plastic gift bag or in a jar topped with scrapbook paper to easily present the gift in a cute way.
