    • 24 American Heritage chocolate sticks

Melting Chocolate Next, hold your strawberries by the stem, and dip into your melted chocolate. Set them on wax paper to cool and harden. It may be faster to place in refrigerator for a minute after dipping.

Dipped Strawberries Finally, for whipped topping, pour heavy whipping cream into a chilled bowl. Add the drink mix and beat with a mixer 5-10 minutes until thick. Frost cupcakes immediately and garnish with dipped strawberry and chocolate stick. Serve and enjoy!

Chocolate Cupcakes For this recipe, I used American Heritage chocolate because it has a very unique and tasty flavor. They use a blend of spices available during colonial times to give it a mildly spicy and slightly sweet taste. American Heritage Chocolate is an authentic historic line of chocolate developed from recipes from the 1750’s. They use all natural ingredients and exotic spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, chili pepper, orange, anise and vanilla, to make this artisan chocolate.

American Heritage Chocolate 1You can use this chocolate for candy making, as a hot drink, or in a variety of recipes replacing semi-sweet chocolate one-to-one. For those of you with allergies, you’ll be glad to hear they don’t use wheat, dairy, peanuts or tree nuts. Visit American Heritage Chocolate’s website for more recipe ideas or to purchase their chocolates. They are sold through their website and exclusively at living history sites, museums, and specialty gift shops that support education.
