S’mores Layer Bars Recipe
National S’mores Day is coming up this Sunday, August 10th! Do you love classic S’mores as much as I do? I look forward to camping just to have an excuse to make S’mores. This easy S’mores Layer Bars recipe is so easy, you won’t need to go camping to enjoy it. Just whip up a batch, pop it in the oven, and be ready for an overload of yummy!

S’mores Layer Bars

Ingredients:
- 2 1/3 cups Honey Maid graham cracker, blended into crumbs
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- Sweetened condensed milk (about 5oz)
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Beat together graham cracker crumbs, sugar, softened butter, vanilla, and egg until well combined. Reserve aside 1.5 cups of this mixture. Press the rest into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.

Pour the semi-sweet chocolate chips on top of the graham cracker crust. Next, top with chopped walnuts. Add the mini marshmallows.

Use a large spoon and stir the sweetened condensed milk to slightly soften and thin. Then, let the sweetened condensed milk run off the spoon drizzling on top of your marshmallow layer. I use about 1/3 of a 14oz can. Too much sweetened condensed milk will make the treats messy.
Crumble the remaining graham cracker crumb mixture on top, making sure your marshmallow layer isn’t completely hidden as you want it to show through. Press lightly.

Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips.
Bake for 20 minutes at 350° F.
Allow to cool for 30 minutes in the fridge before cutting.

This bars are rich and delicious and hit just the spot to tide me over until the next time I can roast marshmallows over an open fire!
No matter how you prefer to enjoy you’re S’mores, join in on the fun and conversation happening on National S’mores Day at the Twitter Party! The party starts August 10th at 8Pm ET.
