Netflix Just For Kids for Family Movie Night!
We have been using Netflix for years as a family to watch great movies and TV shows. As our family has grown and our boys now want to join in and watch movies too, we’ve watched as Netflix has changed, too. They offer a dedicated section called “Just for Kids” with movies and shows that the kids love. Since my boys use our Netflix account on our Wii and directly connect and go into Netflix all on their own I was thrilled with their Just for Kids section was released to keep them from being exposed to movies or shows that aren’t appropriate for their age. The Just for Kids section has special content prepared for kids ages 2-12 along with ratings and reviews that make it easy to select a show. The layout is also much easier for them to use and browse with clear character icons from their favorite shows easy to browse through to find something to watch.
Netflix recently added really great new video content with movies and shows from Disney Jr., Cartoon Network and Hasbro! Some of our favorites from the newest titles are The Lorax, Pocahontas, Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Curious George. I was so thrilled to see the Lorax added to the collection since we don’t own that movie and some of the other Disney titles it is really nice to have access to them without having to pull out our DVD copy. I love the convenience and ease of everything being digital as it is so much easier to find to watch and no storage is needed! We also recently watched ParaNorman as a family which we had not had the chance to see yet. It wasn’t my personal favorite but we had a fun time sitting down together as a family. We try to have a weekly movie night and almost always turn to Netflix to pick out a movie!
I love that Netflix can be used wherever we go! We have it setup on our TV through our Wii, wi-fi enabled Blu-ray player, our laptop, and I’ve even connected to Netflix on my smartphone a time or two. It’s so easy to start streaming and once the device is connect it stays synced so it takes just one click to start watching a show.

My daughter loves Disney Jr! It would be great to have a selection of episodes for her to watch from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Sofia the First, and Doc McStuffins.

I use netflex on my kiindle fire, computer, and internet ready tv. There is always something to watch went you flip through the cable tv box and find nothing on.

I love using Netflix in my classroom as a quick reward for group behavior, they get a choice and I get to be sure it is kid friendly

We watched the Lorax on Netflix a few weeks ago. I love that I can watch what I want when I want too.
I even love to watch these movies because I like animation and my niece and nephew love to watch these movies. I watch movies with them when I babysit, but I would love to get Netflixkids.
