Fast Holiday Style with Sears ReserveIt
I have a sweet brand new baby boy. He’s just 2 weeks old. We added him into the mix with four older big brothers. The thought of going to the mall to find something cute and comfy that will fit my post-partum shape with at least two little ones in tow is daunting. Especially with a newborn that cries when I’m not holding him close. But my story isn’t that much different than any other mom’s story – shopping with kids along is always a challenge.
This is a sponsored post. I am a Sears blogger. All opinions are my own.
Sears has come up with a solution that helps speed up shopping time but give you all the convenience of trying on those holiday styles before you commit to a purchase. It’s the best of shopping online and shopping in stores combined! Their new Reserve It service just started this week, and I was thrilled to give it a try first hand.
You start by heading online to Sears.com and browse any of their styles. Pick out your favorite choices – including choosing different sizes or colors as may be needed. Then, just select your local store and “Reserve It”! You’ll be able to see what is available at your local store before you head in so you don’t waste your time if your favorite styles aren’t in stock at your closest location and end up having to hop from store to store. You’ll know immediate what’s available! I reserved this cute pleated skirt and two different tops to try on in-store.

When I went into my local store, I noticed new signs introducing Reserve It right in the aisle of the Women’s department. I wasn’t sure if I’d have to stop to talk with an associate to pick up my reserved items, but a moment later I noticed clear signs above the racks near the dressing room pointing out that I could pick up my items without any extra hassle.

See this handy rack? Your reserved items will be on hold for you here for up to 2 days so you can visit your local Sears at your convenience to try on your held items. You don’t pay for any of the items up front, so you aren’t committing to a purchase. Instead, you get to skip the browsing and head right to the dressing room ready to try on the styles you already had your eye on.

Despite having a tag with my name and reservation on the items, a few of my reserved items were no longer on the rack held for pick-up for me. I assume since it’s such a new service, this rack may have been confused as an after dressing room rack that was free to roam and someone else spotted my picks. The associate went to grab my reserved items again while I headed to the dressing room with my already fussy newborn for a feeding.
A few minutes later, my picks were ready and it was time for a mini fashion show.

First, I tried on the pleated skirt and purple military styled top. The skirt was super comfy with a thick elastic waistband and I loved the texture it gave with the pleats that helped to hide my extra post-baby curves. I felt like the top was really slimming with the darts and really liked the 3/4 sleeves.

Next I tried on an A-line skirt I grabbed in route to the dressing room with the second top I reserved online. I really liked the belt and that it gave a more hourglass shape to my otherwise thick mid section. I really liked this combo together.

When I got home, I swapped out the cream top for a plum colored one I found as I was heading out of the store. It has color and little bit of bling and gives me a nice dressy but not overdone look for the holidays! I’ll be looking for a great statement necklace to jazz up the outfit a bit more before the parties start.

If you’re looking to save time while trying on new looks for winter, try the new Reserve It service by Sears! I loved that I was able to head to the dressing room, nurse my newborn, try on my a few new styles, and then quickly head on my way onto other errands!

That is really cool. I would love to use this, makes shopping easier. The outfits you picked are cute.
The belt w/the A-line really does look great. How awesome that you can reserve ahead of time!
I really like this since I never get to go shopping alone. It would be a nice relief!
What a timesaver! I’ve never heard of that service before, but I’ll be trying it!
Reserve It at Sears sounds so perfect for me. I am not a good browser in person. Having a cute skirt or top like the ones you got ready to try on is my cup of tea.
That’s a great service they provide. I haven’t bought clothing at Sears in some time, but I should totally check this out!
It looks like a great service that Sears provides. So very convenient
This is such a useful service! I’m often afraid of shopping online because I’m not quite sure how things are going to fit. I’d love to be able to reserve it in store until I’m ready to try it on!
Reserve It is a great idea. Nice outfits you have – the plum shirt and top are really nice.
I think that this is an innovative system that Sears has came up with. How cool is it to see what you want online and able to go to the store, try it on and buy while skipping the process of searching through racks. This seems efficient and more stores should implement this!
What a great idea! Find it online, so you don’t have to in the store, then go to the store and have it there for you waiting to try on! Genius and a MUST for busy moms!!!!
Any woman who hates to search through the racks to find the right sizes has to be thrilled with this service. I know I am!
Love what you picked! It’s such a flattering shape. I have such a hard time finding good skirts. Sears here I come!
I heard something about this. Thanks for sharing more info,
Oh fun! That is pretty cool because I hate shopping. My the time I actually find things I like the last thing I want to do is hang around even longer to try things on. If I can cut out part of it, then the trying on part may not seem so bad.
Love the idea. I like to shop online, but a lot of times things don’t fit quite right. This would let me shop online, go to the store to try it and buy it. Much easier.
I love the A line skirt with the plum shirt. It is a great look for you. I have used the Reserve service before and it’s wonderful! I have used it for bigger items. I will have to try using it for clothes. I just never thought of it. Thanks!
This is a pretty good idea, especially for those who dislike shopping in store or have kids to take along. I will have to check this out.
This is a perfect service, I love it! Loved the outfits you tried on, the cream top and black skirt where my favorite.
I LOVE this idea! I think that maybe they should have some sort of attendant holding the clothes though so that someone doesn’t take off with your reserved items as may have happened to you. Also, you look great for having a 2 week old!
Oh that would making shopping so much easier! I love that they are waiting for you at the fitting room! I will have to try this! I love what you picked!
The outfits you picked are great. I like the two tops (cream and plum colors) that you paired with the A-lined skirt.
