Chipotle Shrimp Penne Recipe by Guy Fieri!

My husband loves to cook, and he’s really good at it, too! He often watches The Food Network and other cooking channels while he’s away on business trips and comes home and tries to recreate some of the recipes he saw. It came as no surprise to me when I mentioned Guy Fieri and he knew exactly who he was! We were challenged to try a recipe created by Guy himself and put it to the test in our own kitchen.

This recipe is sponsored by Lifetime Brands. All opinions are my own.

We started this recipe by preparing the chipotle sauce that will cover your noodles and shrimp. It’s really easy to make – just add all of the sauce ingredients to your blender and puree. When the sauce is well blended, cover the sauce and store it in your refrigerator while you continue the rest of the recipe’s prep.

Shrimp Penne Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce olive oil
  • 4 hot links, all beef, cut in bias slices
  • 20 (21/25 shrimp), deveined, shelled and butterflied
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Chipotle sauce (above)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 pound cooked penne pasta
  • 1/2 cup parmesan, grated plus more for serving
  • 1 tbls diced roma tomato
  • 1 tbls diced scallion

Start by sauteing the hot links in olive oil in your frying pan, searing them until browned. Add shrimp and cook until pink. Then, lower heat to medium.

Add in cream, 3/4 of your chipotle sauce, salt and pepper. Add in cooked pasta and parmesan cheese, tossing to combine.

Serve in a pasta bowl garnishing the individual bowls with diced tomatoes, scallions, more sauce if desired, and grated parmesan.

I felt like a real chef helping out my husband who loves to cook and following Guy Fieri’s recipe to create such a wonderful dish. We used Guy Fieri’s line of cookware products by Lifetime Brands to help us recreate the dish from home. I was very impressed with the quality and unique designs of the cookware which ranged from this cool cutting board and knife pictured below to a range of pots and frying pans, kitchen shears, spatulas and more! They made it fun to work in the kitchen with tools that made it easy to prep and cook our food.

The beautiful 10-pc cookware set is made with a durable construction for fast and even heating – eliminating hot spots that can cause your food to burn. It’s got a long-lasting, nonstick finish that will make clean-up a breeze. My favorite of all the tools, though, was the kitchen shears! They have such a unique design which makes them super comfy to hold and use and they work great!
