Sing Along with eKids

I remember when I was a kid we had this little tape player that had a microphone on it. We used to pop in our favorite tape and sing our hearts out. We used to make posters and have performances. Me and my sister would dress up and have concerts on the edge of the brick fireplace in our house. I laugh when I think about how patient my parents were to attend every performance we held, hand colored ticket in hand. These are some of my favorite memories!

I have a mini diva in my house who just love to sing. She is only 18-months old but she knows all the words to A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes from Cinderella, the ABC’s, Jingle Bells, The Itsy Bitsy Spider and is currently doing her best to figure out Do You Wanna Build A Snowman from Frozen. I wish I had recorded her cute face when she figured out how the microphone worked on her new Minnie Sing and Stroll Musical Purse from eKids. Pure joy.

This little purse is new version of that beloved tape player I had, but so much cooler. It has a port in the back for your MP3 player, it sings a couple Minnie Boutique songs of it’s own and, my personal favorite, Minnie Mouse voice effect.

With the press of the button, everything you say into the microphone comes out sounding just like Minnie Mouse. I thought this feature would be one of those annoying kid toy features, but it is the most hilarious thing. I am being serious when I say that we all laugh until we cry when we hit the Minnie Voice button, especially when dad or papa takes a turn.

I love when she gets it out and starts singing with her cute little toddler voice into the microphone. This little gadget is already a huge hit at our house and I am sure she will just love it more as time goes by.
