Directions:
Start with boiling water and cook your pasta for 2-3 minutes less than stated on the package directions.
Then, prep your ingredients – dice your peppers, onions, and thinly slice the sausage.
Next, you can fry them all together at the same time in 2 tbls olive oil, until the vegetables have softened and the sausage is lightly browned.
Strain your pasta, reserving a cup of water. I just simply use a slotted spoon and strain out the majority of the water out of the side of the pot, leaving about a cup of water still in the pot.
Add in chicken base (or bouillon cubes), heavy cream, and garlic paste. Mix to combine and allow your pasta to continue to cook in the sauce, while it thickens. You’ll also mix in your peppers, onions, and sausage.
Once your sauce is thickened, approximately 3-5 minutes, you’ll be ready to enjoy!
Serve your Sausage Pepper Pasta warm or cool and serve as a cold pasta salad for parties, it’s delicious either way.
You can optionally sprinkle on a little pepper.
This recipe delivers a lightly coated pasta with a creamy sauce and so much flavor. You can customize it with your family’s favorite pasta type and any additional seasonings your family loves.
