Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey: DRAGONS Circus Review!

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey DRAGONS

Last night was the opening night of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey: DRAGONS here in Phoenix, Arizona. We headed off to the show with our three young boys who were so excited to see the show. We had been talking up the event and showing the preview clips all week to get them excited and anticipating the show. We arrived at the show about 45 minutes before it began so we could check out the preshow. I was a bit disappointed as the pre-show had a large bounce house that required payment and some clowns that weren’t that interactive. At one point, they did bring an elephant out and that was the highlight of the pre-show as he painted for us which was really neat. The pre-show was just definitely not what I had expected based on what I had read online.

DRAGONS Circus Review

Once the show began there was always a ton to see and observe with a lot of animal interactions and a constant flow of entertainment. Even between acts there was always something going on to distract you from the setup for the following act. My youngest absolutely loved all the animals from the horses and elephants and even the cats and dog act was a huge hit! My oldest really loved the motorcycles and had his eyes glued to the stage as they kept adding more and more bikes into the sphere! My 3 year old loved the elephants and all the dragons. They also really loved this act where a motorcycle drove up a tight rope with acrobats performing below the bike. At one point, the bike flipped all the way around the rope hanging upside down for a brief moment and they were in awe! By far, my favorite part was the elephants. These massive animals are just so impressive to watch even just prancing around in a circle. It was really neat to see one of the elephants lean over onto his trunk and support his weight at one point of the show. The kids also got a kick out of them all lying down!

DRAGONS Circus Review

Of course we had to pick up some yummy popcorn during the admission which the kids loved! Overall we had a really fun time taking our kids to the circus. The show definitely felt like a kid-inspired show that was geared more towards them then my husband and I, but it was still fun for all.

DRAGONS is showing in Phoenix, AZ at the US Airways Center tonight through July 2nd until they head on to California and then across the country. If you’ve been waiting to take your family to the circus, don’t delay to get your tickets as they show will only be here for a very limited time. Tickets range in price from $7.50 to $90, plus applicable fees.

Disclosure: I received a family 4-pack of tickets to DRAGONS in exchange for my honest review. I was not compensated in any other manner. The opinions expressed above are my own and any claims should be verified on the sponsor’s site.
