You know how it goes. You get a nice expensive new phone you’re depending on it day in and day out. Before long, it always happens. Some of us are luckier than others and can delay the inevitable, but we all know it’s going to happen. The phone drops and shatters the screen or hits it just right to make something not work quite right anymore.

I’m horrible about dropping my phone. I know it’s going to happen to me, yet I still delayed on getting a quality case to protect my phone. Even though my phone had slipped out of my hands a few time, nothing too bad had happened. But then my 2 year old dropped my phone while we traveling. When I picked up my phone I just wanted to cry. The screen was shattered, though luckily my phone is still usable.

Protection from Drops – The most obvious reason to get a case for your smartphone is of course to protect your phone from drops. The case is able to absorb the majority of the shock from a hard hit, especially in the most crucial corners where your phone is most likely to hit and cause the most damage to your phone.
Dirty Hands – If you have kids, you know one touch of your phone and you wonder how in the world your phone got so dirty! Of course, your phone can still get dirty with a case on it, but the difference is you can pop off the case and wipe it clean without worrying about damaging your phone with the moisture from a wet rag.
A Better Grip – Somewhat surprising to me is how much easier my phone is to grip and hold onto. It doesn’t slide in my hand when I’m trying to swype text someone and feels really comfortable to hold, too. The case also makes it easier to dig out of the bottom of your purse, because it doesn’t seem to hide and slip between receipts and papers without being seen. When I’m shuffling into my purse, it’s much easier to recognize and find my phone with the case on it.
Easier to Identify – Many of us have the same popular phones like an iPhone or a Galaxy S4 or S5. I know my good friend and I both have a Galaxy S4 but it’s super easy to tell our phones apart as we have completely different looking cases. I most definitely need a case for my phone, first of because it’s a note, it’s rather large which means its super easy to break and well most of all…..i have a two year old….enough said lol

I am a very clumsy person. When I opened my iPhone out of the box, it fell straight on the floor and was about 2 inches from hitting the corner of our coffee table!

My husband and I both just got new Samsung phones. He is pretty rough on phones and they fall out of his pocket often. Plus with 2 young boys we really need cases.

I think it makes it a lot less slippery, and it’s also easier for me to find in my purse. Mostly I want to keep it safe though.

Both my phone and my husband’s phone have a case. My husband has broken all of this phones so a case was a must.
I know firsthand how important it is to have a case…..and insurance for that matter. My daughter has already gone through 3 broken phones
The awkward grip on my phone caused a drop and crack across the screen. Now that is nearly time to get another, I’ll be getting a case for my Smartphone at the same time.

I wish I had a protection type case for my iphone because I totally broke it and now using a yard sale find Droid until renewal time comes. I love the cases they have these days to not only protect our cells, but to protect us!
I wish I didn’t know why cases were so important. I have broken 3 faces and 1 tablet screen. Ahhhhh! I also have kids who have cracked iPods, phones, and a Nabi (didn’t even know that one was possible).

I’ve always had cases for my smartphones. I’ve had some really good ones like otterbox and some really bad ones that broke the moment I put them on my phone. I am pretty good about not dropping my phone, but I am terrible about keeping it clean.

Somehow I have never managed to shatter the screen on my phone, despite it being dropped about 43,434 times!! LOL.

I think having a solid case for your phone is important. Smartphones are so expensive, but yet we lug them around with us all of the time. I know I’m not always super careful and not having a good case on my phone would be a disaster!
