2014’s Touch a Truck Event in Phoenix this Weekend!

Since he was the tiny my little guy has loved anything with wheels. Fire trucks, police cars, garbage trucks, bikes, you name it, he wanted to know what it was called and how it worked. Now he is almost four and the obsession continues. As a Mom I know the names to construction vehicles and train cars that I have never even questioned before! It is so much fun to drive with him in the car and listen to him call out the names of cars and trucks as they pass us by.

I received compensation for this post, all opinions are my own.

TouchATruckI was so excited to hear about this year’s Touch A Truck event presented by the Junior League of Phoenix. It is this Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 9:00-1:00. The event will be held at Paradise Valley Mall Parking Lot by Sears. I can’t wait to see his face when he gets the chance to see life-size work vehicles used in construction, as well as by the military, police and firefighters.

In addition to the vehicles you can taste delicious foods from food trucks, take a bounce on a bounce house, be entertained by mascots, and other vendors will be there for a fun, entertaining experience. Make a day of it! There is sure to be something fun for the every member of your family!

In addition to all that fun, tickets are a great deal too! They are available for purchase on the day of the event or at www.jlp.org. Tickets are $5 a person or a family pack of five tickets for $20. Children ages two and under are free. The educational fundraiser supports the JLP’s goal of positively impacting the lives of children and their families. Fun event for a great cause, doesn’t get better than that!

In order to make sure we have an enjoyable day I am making sure to bring:

Sunscreen- It is still so hot here in Arizona so we will have to reapply after we get there.

A Stroller- My toddlers go, go, go, but sometimes the walking gets to be too much!

Cups for my kids- I always grab big drinks at events and then poor them into cups or water bottles for my kids. They stay hydrated and don’t make a mess!

TatHow about you? What would you bring? Will I see you there!? Let me know!

  1. I think this event looked great! My kids love when they can get a closer look at vehicles like these.

  2. Oh what total fun. I love events like this that are great for the whole family… so much to do and all to help a great cause. Thanks for sharing

  3. We used to have a year round place back home for big kids to go play on construction equipment, my oldest son loved it. This is an event my youngest son would like.

  4. That’s a cool event, and exactly the sort of thing my son would have loved when he was little. Heck, he’d probably love it now.

  5. My son would have gone BANANAS over an event like this. There was a period of about two years where all he wanted to talk about was trucks.

  6. My boys love when they have touch a truck events around here. There are usually a couple every summer!
