Easy Dinner Recipes: French Bread Pizza Recipe

I’m a meal planner. 聽I actually plan our menu with easy dinner recipes out for 2 weeks at a time and make only one grocery shopping trip during that time frame. 聽I’ve found that it saves big on time and money for me. 聽It just works for our family. 聽As much as I love to cook, sometimes making dinner every.single.night just seems like a daunting task. 聽Sometimes I can’t think of anything else to add to the menu. 聽And sometimes I feel like making one more big dinner during the course of the week just might send me over the edge into madness. 聽Any other moms out there feel that way? 聽So when you just can’t make one more meal, and you need something super easy and fun and delicious, why not make it a French Bread Pizza Night?

Make It a French Bread Pizza Night!

We’re kind of snobs in our house when it comes to sauces. 聽We don’t use a jar of sauce in our home for pastas. 聽I’m Italian, and my husband lived in Italy for 2 years. 聽So it just doesn’t cut it for us. 聽But French Bread Pizza Night is one night where I feel free to cut some corners! 聽Just buy a loaf of French Bread (or 2 or 3, depending on the size of your family!), cut it into slices, and add sauce, cheese, pepperoni, or any other toppings that your family likes. 聽We tend to be purists when it comes to our French Bread Pizzas – strangely enough just sauce, slices of cheddar cheese, & pepperoni. 聽Throw it into a 350 degree oven and watch it until the cheese is nice and melty (10-15 minutes). 聽I, personally, don’t like my FBPs to be too well done (the crust gets way too crunchy!).

And for our family? 聽FBP night always has to be done while watching something on TV! 聽Something about it just calls for TV trays and catching up on our shows. 聽So go ahead and make it a French Bread Pizza night! 聽What’s your family’s go to dinner when you just don’t want to cook?

  1. French bread is great for putting almost anything on it. We like to put bruschetta on it and pop it in the toaster oven.

  2. Oooh this reminds me of the garlic bread pizza I had at Pizza Hut last summer. I have never thought of making french bread pizza on slices like that before. I’ll have to try it out! 馃檪
