Fresh Baby Review

The rise in childhood obesity is through the roof!  One in six school-age kids is obese.  The number of obese preschoolers has doubled in the past three decades.  And 80% of overweight children will grow up to be obese in adulthood.  Unfortunately, along with obesity comes other health problems, like heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

Fresh Baby has created a product line to help parents make healthy, homemade foods.  They even have a free newsletter you can sign up for with great advice and ideas on healthy eating for the whole family.

Along with promoting healthy living, their products are BPA and Phthalate free, and are biodegradable.

The So Easy Portion Storage Bags and Food Trays are perfect for freezing breast milk and homemade baby food, among many other things.  Be sure to check out their freezer tip sheet as well, which has some great tips on what freezes well, how to defrost, etc.

Fresh Baby Review & Giveaway

My one-year-old son is out of the baby food stage.  He is completely obsessed with food and wants to eat whatever we are eating.  I am a firm believer in feeding my family healthy, homemade foods.  And now that my son is eating “normal” food, we are even more aware of what we’re putting on the table.

It’s starting to get hot here, so I made 100% pineapple “juicicles” in my Food Trays.  The trays are much more durable than a normal ice cube tray, and I love that it comes with a lid to keep the food from tasting like freezer.

My boy also loves smoothies, so we made a big batch and filled up some So Easy Portion Storage Bags.  I loved these bags!  They’re thicker than a normal freezer bag and they have handy ounce marks up the front of them.

But my favorite thing about them is that they stand up on their own!  It makes storing them in our fairly crowded freezer so easy!  I will continue to use these to freeze pasta sauces and soups in just the right portions for our little foodie.

The Fresh Baby Food Trays & So Easy Portion Storage Bags (both $13.95) can be found online and at Walmart, Babies R Us, Whole Foods, & Target.
