Fitbit Aria Review and BMI

I have spent that past two weeks tracking my fitness journey and using my Fitbit Aria scale to track my BMI and weight loss too. I was already used to stepping on a scale frequently, usually at some point in the day, but without any reference point I would just compare my number roughly to what the day before said and I never really knew how my progress (or lack of progress) I might be making. So, when I logged in after two weeks using the Fitbit Aria scale I was completely shocked to see I had lost a total of 4 pounds over the 2 weeks!!

Fitbit Aria Review BMI and Weight Tracker

I haven’t been doing anything really “differently” other than being extra conscious about the fact that if I could just step at least 10,000 steps per day, I would be much healthier overall. I have been using my fitbit pedometer and tracking my steps and working hard to improve my steps taken each day, but other than that I didn’t really change a thing. It’s kind of a funny thing, but walking doesn’t really FEEL like exercise. I mean, I walked to the mailbox, went shopping at the grocery store, picked up my kiddo from work — and I get to count all of that? Really? Sure, I didn’t get in any heavy cardio but I wouldn’t be ready for that type of a workout at this point anyways, I would be ready to crash on the floor within 10 minutes! I have actually been really enjoying participating in the 10,000 step challenge, even though I haven’t made it to that golden number yet. I really appreciated how absolutely simple it is to use the scale. I didn’t have to change anything about my routine but just step on, see my numbers, and go about my day. The Fitbit Aria scale was able to show me my weight, BMI and body fat percentage each day if I wanted to wait to see all my numbers or I could compare and see how I’m doing online by looking at the bigger picture.

This is the final week for me to really push myself and hopefully I will be able to share a fun picture with you next week having met my goal number of steps! Since I’ve already been 2/3rds of the way to my goal, really I know it should be easy to get there, it’s just a matter of loading up a handful of kids and go somewhere where walking is encouraged. Maybe we’ll go play some miniature golf!

How are your personal fitness goals going? Keep up the good work and leave a comment below sharing how your week went!

Awesome - I need to work on my health a bit more - I am kind of sedentary and it shows in my health issues. You inspire me.

Congrats! That's so awesome! I like that scale. I have to get a pedometer.Due to major back issues and pain in my legs I'm not able to exercise but I am trying to lose weight. I drink lots of water and do sit down exercises. It's not much but I figure every little bit will help. Keep up the good work :)

Congrats! That's awesom to lose in two weeks. I have a Nike Fuel Band and love it. It helps me to keep moving and get those extra steps in each day. Anything that gets you moving is a good thing!
