Finding Flattering Swimsuits for your Body Type
Do you have trouble finding flattering swimsuits for your body type? I KNOW I’m not the only woman in the world that feels uncomfortable about her body in a bathing suit. After having a child, my swimsuit needs now include a lot of support up top and adequate coverage in the midsection (to hide the stretch marks and extra pounds). Finding such a suit is nearly impossible – tankinis cover, but don’t offer bust support, bikinis provide support, but don’t hide anything, and one pieces that fit in the midsection don’t always fit up top.

How to Find a Flattering Swimsuit
Coverage: Find a swimsuit with the most coverage. More coverage = a more flattering appearance.
Support: Make sure the swimsuit provides adequate bust support. If you have a larger bust, make sure your top is fitted with an under-wire. Avoid busy patterns as this will make your bust appear larger than it actually is. If you have a smaller chest, find a top with built in padding.
Patterns:聽 Vertical stripes make you look taller while horizontal stripes often make you appear wider than you actually are. If you’re wider in the midsection, find a suit that draws the attention to the top of the suit.
Color: Darker colors are more flattering on any body type. After all, you can’t really go wrong with a darker, plain suit.
Fit: Find a swimsuit that isn’t too tight or too loose. I know, this can be a tricky one. Tighter swimsuits create a bulky appearance. However, you have to be careful that your suit isn’t so loose that it floats up or sags while in the pool.
