Drive it Home EventHey local readers,  do you have teen or soon-to-be teenage driver? Taking the road for the first time can bring your child face-to-face with a whole world of distractions putting them at risk. To help inform parents how to keep kids safe on the road there’s a fun event headed to town. The Drive it Home Show, presented by the National Safety Council and Allstate Foundation, will be here on Thursday, April 18. It’s something you won’t want to miss if you have a tween or teen, or are just concerned about teen driving safety. It will be an informative (and entertaining!) event. Details are as follows:

What: Drive it Home Show, presented by the National Safety Council and Allstate Foundation

When: Thursday, April 18 from 7pm – 8:15pm

Where: Sandler Center for the Performing Arts (201 Market St, Virginia Beach, VA 23462)

Price: FREE!; no tickets required

Parking: Surface street metered parking is available along Monroe Street, 2nd Street and 3rd Street. Nearby public parking facilities include the Chase Garage (enter from 1st or 2nd Streets between Monroe and Van Buren), The Arizona Center (enter from 5th Street heading north from Van Buren or off of Fillmore west of 5th Street), and the Hyatt Regency Garage (enter off 2nd Street just north of Adams and south of Monroe).

If you are not in Arizona, be sure to check out the tour schedule. They will be coming to 14 different cities and Phoenix is just stop 4 so there are still many cities left on the tour.
