Cleaning Made Easy with CVS/pharmacy

I thoroughly enjoy keeping a clean home. However, this doesn’t mean that I spend hours a day scrubbing my floors and dusting the baseboards. Over many years of doing housework, I’ve discovered a few cleaning tricks that make maintaining a clean house easy and stress-free.

1. Do a quick “pick-up” of the house either first thing in the morning or late at night. Starting your day with a clean home will encourage you to keep it better organized as you go throughout your day. Pick up messes as they happen. By simply putting something away after using it, it leaves your house clutter-free.

2. Do one “big” chore a day. Instead of waiting until your entire house needs a good scrub down, devote a few minutes each day to taking care of one big chore: scrubbing toilets, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning counter-tops, etc. By choosing a different chore every day of the week, you always have a clean home whenever company arrives. Plus, cleaning the entire house doesn’t seem so daunting.

3. Involve your children. Even though my son is only 18 months old, he feels like such a big boy whenever he helps with chores. Sometimes, we blast music and see who can pick up toys the quickest. One of his favorite activities is helping me Windex our sliding glass door. He thinks it’s fun to try and wipe up the Windex before it drips to the floor (don’t worry, I always keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn’t eat the Windex). He will often exclaim “AGAIN!” after the window is all clean. Trust me, there are plenty of ways to make cleaning fun and instill a good work ethic in young children. Plus, the more hands, the lighter the load.
