Life with 3 little boys was already hectic and life just got a bit more crazy with my 4th baby born this week! Our newborn has been sure to throw our current already busy schedule right out the window! I thought it would be fun to share what my pre-baby schedule was like so I can look back on this post in the coming months and remember it won’t be sleepless nights forever!
During the week, my morning starts at 7:00 on the dot when my oldest bursts through the door telling me “It’s 7!!” as he excitedly gets ready for school. Of course, my alarm had gone off as well, but he always rushes in excited to tell me and make sure I’m up to take him! We then all scramble about the kitchen getting three hungry little bellies fed, clothed and my son’s lunchbox, water bottle, and snack all prepared.
We then rush out the door at about 7:30 to drive my oldest to school which starts at 8:00. We have a bit of a commute with a 15 minute drive and then get to battle the crazy school parking lot! After my oldest is checked in at school, our morning slows down a bit with me trying to sneak in time to blog, check emails and work on projects and my littler two boys playing and usually destroying my once clean house. When lunchtime rolls around we work on picking up the family room and then make lunch together. After that, it’s nap time. Oh, how I love nap time! I get a good solid two hours to get some work done! Then, the afternoon quickly rolls around and we are off to pick up my oldest at school. The hours between pick-up and dinnertime cruise by and before I know it we are reading bedtime stories, brushing teeth, preparing for tomorrow’s day at school and off to bed.
Thrown in amongst our weekday schedule my husband has two weeknight church meetings on Tuesdays and Wednesday nights. Monday night we try to gather as a family for Family Night. Friday, my husband and I like to “try” to go out on a date, but seems we often end up having a more relaxing night in together than actually getting out and about together. Then, the weekend comes rushing in and it is almost always packed with a variety of activities from fun events, service projects, meetings, you name it. Sunday’s we spend a good portion of the day at church and then relax and unwind for the start of a new week, at least those times we don’t invite company over for dinner!

my 17 year old has varsity baseball games several times a week in the spring, then after high school we go right into travel season all summer so we're on the go every weekend from Thur - Sun. Next year he'll be playing college ball so we'll still be go go going.
