4 Easy Ways to Read More

A New Year often leads to many resolutions. One of my favorite resolutions is picking a goal for reading. I love to read, and I love to make sure I don’t let other things get in the way of this terrific habit. Setting a goal at the beginning of the year, and sticking to it, has helped me keep reading and enjoy every second I do!

I was provided compensation and a copy of After in exchange for this post.

Find more ways to read

This year, I joined a Reading Challenge hosted by some friends on Facebook. But there are many ways you can find more ways to read in 2015!

Join a Book Club

You probably know someone involved in a book club. Book clubs are great because you have an opportunity to discuss the book you read, which encourages you to actually read it. Many libraries also have book clubs if you need help finding one. Or you can start your own!

Pick a Challenge

There are tons of reading challenges making the rounds online. Find one that feels like something you can accomplish. Invite friends to participate with you. It can even be as simple as one book a month!

Make a List

Make a list of books you would like to read, and go in order down the list. If you need help composing a list, use a site like Goodreads. Goodreads allows you to search through thousands of books for suggestions and add them to a to-read list. Books are rated an even include user reviews. The best part is you can go off your friend’s suggestions, because we trust our friends opinions way more than a strangers.

Use an App

If you seem to always be on the go, or have trouble remembering a book, you can always use your phone. Kindle is available on both Apple and Android, no need to actually own a Amazon Tablet. You can use your local libraries online services to also download books as PDFs. They are checked out exactly like a library book and will expire after the loan period. You will always have a book in your pocket!

How will you find more ways to read this year?
