Easy Dinner Recipes: Grilled Hamburger Recipes

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Kings Hawaiian. The opinions and text are all mine.

Yesterday was Memorial Day and the whole long weekend was the perfect time to get outdoors, have family and friends over, and eat lots of yummy foods! We love to barbecue and these easy dinner recipes gave us a way to serve everyone quickly since everyone assembles their own and picks just what they want for their toppings. I’m looking forward to sharing some of our own favorite grilled hamburger recipes!

Grilled Hamburger Recipes

We served King’s Hawaiian hamburger and hot dog buns to compliment our meal. I have had King’s Hawaiian rolls before and really love their rolls but I had never tried their buns or other products. It was the perfect time to give them a try during our Memorial Day barbecue!

King's Hawaiian Hamburger Buns

The buns added their classic sweetened roll flavoring to our burgers which made them really good! Instead of a somewhat plain tasting bun, the buns actually added flavor to our whole meal!

Here’s our masterpiece burger! It’s loaded up with tomato, onion, spinach, cilantro, cheese, ketchup and mayo, and of course a yummy hamburger patty all on top of a King’s Hawaiian hamburger bun.

Masterpiece Grilled Hamburger Recipe

To create your own grilled hamburger recipes and masterpieces just gather all your favorite toppings and give yourself the freedom to be creative! One of my personal favorite toppings to add is grilled pineapple or a burger smothered in barbeque sauce.

Recipe type: Dinner
Cuisine: American
Ingredients:
  • Hamburger Patties or Ground Hamburger
  • Montreal Steak Seasoning Mix
  • Hamburger Buns
  • Toppings: Ketchup, Mustard, Barbeque sauce, Tomatoes, Onions, Cilantro, Sauteed Mushrooms, Spinach, Lettuce, Pineapple, or other favorite topping.
Directions:
  1. Turn on your grill to high heat and let it heat up before you bring out your hamburger patties to start cooking.
  2. Assemble your patties making them approximately 1" thick by 5" around. If you are making your own, be careful to not make them too thick. Or, you can use premade patties.
  3. Grill your patties for 2-3 minutes and flip when they can easily be lifted from your grill plate without sticking.
  4. After your first side has been cooked, sprinkle on any seasonings. We love using McCormick's Grill Mates Montreal Steak seasonings.
  5. Cook the other side of your patty 2-3 minutes as well watching for it to be fully cooked and easy to life off the grill.
  6. The secret to juicy burgers is to be sure they don't overcook. You want them just a tiny bit pink in the center.
  7. Remove the patties from the grill and top with your favorite toppings.

Hawaiian Burger – Use King’s Hawaiian hamburger buns to add a hint of sweet from the start. Then, add pineapple, a splash of terriyaki sauce, swiss cheese, onions, tomatoes, and lettuce.

Bacon Hamburger – Layer your hamburger with pepperjack cheese, bacon, cilantro, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions or onion rings!

Fried Egg Burger – Fry an egg with a slightly runny or fully cooked through yolk. Add the egg, a slice or two of bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and onions.

Mushroom Hamburger – Saute mushrooms and use them on top of your burger along with spinach and swiss cheese.

Barbeque Burger – Add a dab or two of barbeque sauce to the top of your burger. Then, add onions, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, and cheddar cheese.

We’ve really enjoyed using King’s Hawaiian buns during our barbeque this past weekend and can’t wait to enjoy them again in the future!
